Follow Your Nose
Packaging Design
I wanted to transform an ordinary object into something desirable through the choice of its title and the type and surface graphics on its packaging.
Aimed at tourists, Follow Your Nose (Melbourne), consists of a hankerchief embroidered with an abstract map of Melbourne’s CBD, contained within a package with a more detailed map inside.
Tourists can keep and frame the hankerchief as a souvenir, whilst using the package to help show them around. Stitching was used on black arrows (suggestive of noses) to allude to road markings, while the stock was chosen for its fabric-like feel.
