All Veg Are Equal: Book
An Exploration of Aesthetics
An exploration of aesthetics and perfection through the EU laws for vegetables. The laws state it is illegal to sell a cucumber which is too crooked, or an asparagus which is less than 80% green. This book examines at which point something becomes ‘unacceptable’.
Pages with holes represent the Draconian EU laws which restrict and regulate what you see on the other side. Red ribbon is used to allude to red tape, allowing a reader to make their own decisions about when a vegetable - which morphs from an aesthetically ‘perfect’ to an ‘imperfect’ one - is considered unacceptable, if at all.
